Advent Word about THE Word

God's word, according to Isaiah 55:11, which He sends forth never fails to return to Him without achieving the purpose for which He sent it. How much more is this not the case with the Word made flesh Who dwelt among us, the Word Who was with God and was God from the beginning - bringing His light and salvation to all mankind! What an amazing promise this is! The context is well worth some Advent pondering (55:10-12), "For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it. You will indeed go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." God's promises never fail! His mercy endures forever.

Soli Deo Gloria!
